Westport, last night. John Burns McConnell, a native of Drogheda, County Heath, Ireland, aged 70 years, died suddenly in the Westport railway yard this afternooD, while engaged pushing a heavily laden trolley along the line. Deceased came to the colony SO years ago, and following mining pursuits until some IS years ago, then ho entered the employ of the Westport Harbor Board. He leaves a widow and two married sons and daughters, and one unmarried daugh ter; also two brothers, one of whom recently won £6OOO in a Tattersall’s sweep.
