CROWN LANDS SALE. WIGAN SETTLEMENT, TbT OTICE is hereby given that 15 rural sections and 2 Small Grazing Runs, comprising the “ Wigan ” Settlement, will he open for selection under “ The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” at this office and the Land Office, Gisborne, on Tuesday, the 10th day of December, 19113. The area of the rural sections varies from 271 acres to 889 acres, and the rentals from 2s 8d to 7s 8d per acre. The Grazing Runs are 1131 and 1210 acres, the rentals . bens (is S.;d and 3s Hid respectively. Applicants will have to appear personally at the Land Hoard meeting at the Land Office, Gisborne, on Thursday, the 17th December, 1903, at ten o’clock a.m. to answer any questions the Land Board may put. In the event of more than one application being received for any section or Run, priority of selection will he decided by ballot at the Land Office, Gisborne, on Friday, the 18th day of December, 1903, at ten o’clock a.m. Full particulars may be ascertained and plans, pamphlets, and application forms obtained at this office and the Land Office, Gisborne. After racing in India for five years, at all distances, under big weights, Crusader retired from the turf with an unbeaten record." Saracen is a blood bay with black points, standing 15 hands 3 inches, with plenty of bono and substance. He is very quiet. and good-tem-pered, and from the stoutness of his breeding his progeny are certain to be most valuable either for haoks, hunters, or carriage horses.
