HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.
The monthly meeting oi the Hospital Trustees was held yesterday, Uio following members being present : Messrs Nolan (chairman), Alaejariane, Tuoliy, Joyce, Harding, and Kemudy... The monthly report showed the number of patients retnai,ADg from jast month as 23, admitted 2(>, discharged 21), died 1, remaining at date J«.
The Treasurer’s rcp.ort showed a credit balance at date of os ad. Tin: Chairman remarked on the sa-
tisfactory state of the finance. The Visiting Committee reported that all was satisfactory at the institution. Accounts amounting to £ll3 2s 7d were passed for payment.
It was stated that the District Board requisition of -11200 was due on November 30,
Air Joyce referred to the case of an aged woman, who had been removed from a house on the Kaiti beach, where she had (icon living a solitary life, to the Hospital. She could not remain long at the Hospital, ami it was thought siie should he sent to an old woman’s home.. Mr Tuoliy said tho Charitable Aid BoaitNsliould provide for women as well as males. Air Alacfarlane suggested the Charitable Aid Board could make arrangement for such cases 1.0 he taken in at the homo at Napier or elsovvifcri,. it was agreed that the Charitable Aid Board should lie written to on the subject. Air -Joyce said the woman referred to had been fjotind in a veyy bad state, being practically starving,' though, it was understood, she had private means.
