WEDDING BELLS.

A very pretty wedding was solemnised yesterday afternoon at " The Lomonds, the residence of Mr Birroll, when Miss Phemin Bin-oil, daughter of Mr Robert McDulT Birroll, was united in the bonds of matrimony to Mr Arthur Percy Hailey. The ceromony, which was performed by the Rev. J. G. Paterson, took place in the presence of a largo number of guests. The bride, who was attended as bridesruaids by her four sisters, Misses Margaret, Beatrice. Ethel, and Jessie Birroll, looked charming in a white silk costume, trimmed with white silk lace and iusertion, and wore the customary veil and wreath. Mis 3 Margaret Birvell was prettily attired in a cream laco musiiri, trimmed with lace, while Miss Beatrice Bin-ell’s cream silk became her well. The younger sisters, Misses Ethel and Jessie Birroll, wore pretty costumes of white silk. Handsome bouquets were carried by the bride and hor ma ds. The bridegroom was accompanied by Mr Pondreigh as best man. After the ceremony the wedding breakfast w£ls partakon of, at which Mr T. Oaldwoll, in a happy speech, proposod the health of tho bride and bridegroom, tv toast which was enthusiastically honored. In tho evening tho guests assembled in tho Acadomy of Music, when a pleasant .time was spent. Congratulatory spocebes were made by Judge Jones and Mr E. P. Joyce, Mr Birroll responding for the young couple. Songs wore rendered by Miss Steele, and Messrs Elierbeck, McFarlane, Goldsmith, and Birrell, and a violin solo .by Mr Hurtridge. Mrs Baty played the accompaniments to the vocal numbers. During tho evening dancing was carried on with spirit. The hall was comfortably fillod, upwards of eighty couples being present. The danco music was played by Mrs Eornandez (piano) and Mr Cullen (violin), extras being contributed by Miss Euth Moore and Mr E. Goldsmith (piano) and Mr Hartridgo (violin). Messrs W. • Webb, W. Lewis, and C. Morse officiated as M.C.’s during tho evening, A most sumptuous repast was provided. Tho happy couple, who were tho recipients of many presents, have the best wishes of a large circle of friends for thoir future happiness.
