FOOLISH MEN.
(Per Press Association.) Reef ton, last night. Two pensioners at Lyell had their pensions withdrawn on the ground that they weae wasting the money in drink. Mr Hawkins, S.M., said he was determined to purge the list of such people. Another at Roofton had his renewal refused for twelve months because he did not disclose the full value of his property to the Department, Ho pleaded that he was advised by a solicitor that it was unnecessary as he had certain debts.
