A provisional committee has been constituted, and a public meeting will be held shortly. Brisbane, Nov. 11. The Chamber of Commorco held a special meeting to discuss Mr Chamberlain’s proposals. The official estimate of the wheat yield states it at 2,677,000 bushels, an average of 21‘9 bushels per aero ; barley 999,000 bushels, average 29 - 5. Received 1,15 a.m,, Nov. 12. Sydney, Nov. 11.

Tho Sydnoy Wheel Race was won by A. Smith, Victoria, oil the 130yds mark. Lawson, 15 yards behind scratch, was second. He rode a splendid race ; Glencross, of New South Wales, 140yds, was third. The time was 1.58 1-5. Tho Orient Plato, a scratch mile, was won by Lawson in 2.6 1-5, easily boating McDonald, Morgan, and Walker in the order named. The Pelaw Main Colliery is again partly idle, owing to a strike of fillers. In the Legislative Council Mr Wise moved tho second reading of the Law Conspiracy Amendment Bill, the chief object being to overcome the difficulty wherein trades unionists are landed by the Taff Vale decision. The debate was adjourned for a fortnight.
