SINGULAR DEATH.
(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. Harold James Brittenden, son of a well known resident of North-East Valley, died from injuries received in a singular manner. He was talking to some friends at Mihawaka, where he was engaged in carrying on a farm, when some cartridges he was carrying in his trousers pocket exploded, and ho received a serious wound in the thigh. Medical attendance was secured, but ho died from the injury. He was 23 years of ago.
