LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, last night. The Couucil met at 2.30. The New Zealand Institute Bill and Fertilisers Bill passed the final stages.
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. The House met at 2.30. The amendments made by the Legislative Couucil in the Shipping and Seamen Bill were agreed to after a brief discussion. Motions for the committal of the Workers’ Compensation iol* Accidents Act Amendment Bill and Labor Department Bill were agreed to on tbe voices. The House resumed at 7 30 p m. The Workers Compensation for Accidents Act Amendment Bill, Labor Department Bill, and Timber Export Duty Bill passedthrough Committee without material amendment.
