THE SECOND BEADING.

Per Press Association. Wellington, iast night. The House met at half-past two this afternoon, when Mr Seddon moved the second reading of the Licensing Acts Amendment Bill, which ho said he believed was in the best interests of the majority of tho people of the colony, and he hoped that the House would assist him in getting it through during the present session. He pointed out that he did not regard it as a party question. Mr Massey said he would vote against tho Bill on the ground that it should not have been brought down at the end of tho session.
