' Defendants’ counsel stopped the case, saying that it had just Been disclosed that the underwriters had received their evidence from inaeeurate sources. Therefore they, had decided to -pay Kerry’s claim, with 4 per cent, interest added, beeausi Kerry had been deprived of his money and suffered a great deal. The underwriters were now satisfied that Kerry was innocent of the charge of wrecking the Ariadne. The Judge emphasised the exonerating, and counsel for both sides: and several of the jury shdtflk hands with the plaintiff.;
