Sealey, a Canterbury pioneer, died this evening, aged 64, He was a surv#yor under the Provincial Government in- the early days, and had a penchant for natural history and alpine explorat on. lie was the first man to visit Mount Cook, and .astjer-ded I-lochsieller Dome- and Hooker Glacier with a 601 b, camera* etc.,, and obtained the first photographs of that region. He was one of the founders and continuous directors of the Farmers’ Co-operative Association till a few months ago.
