Treadmill, with Wind whistle to bring him homo, ran a rnilo and a quarter in 2.15, finishing well. Wairiki cantered and finished strong for a mile, but not at top. Cantoon performod the best gallop of tho morning, traversing a milo and a-hal! in 2.42 J. Juniper brought him homo, but was not much good to him. Roseal and Stratbavon were absent, but it is understood wero sent for a gallop at Yaldtiurst. Cannio Chiel wont seven furlongs in 1.321. Monura, Provost Marshal, Bandmaster, and Idea finished together at tho end of a milo in 1.48 J-. Gold Seal and Hinetaura moved steadily. Pallas, by himself, ran a milo and a-quarter in 215. Gladsome beat Leonora and Roscommon over a milo

in 1.48 J. Kelburn was an absentee, and his Cup prospocts seem hopeless. Lolnh did half a milo in but nono of the other work was fast. After breakfast the courso was thrown open for the two-year-olds. Cutts’ lot wero the first to go round,

Signalman and Stronghold finishing in front over four furlongs in 50£sec. Master Alix finished in front of ZoOland, Forest Ranger, and Zuchieno at tho end of four furlongs in Tho Yaldhurst team were not fully oxtondod, but Silkwbrn and Golden Lily pleased onlookers tho most.
