The Australasian says: “This is certainly the most beautiful Arab horse ever imported. lie stands over 13 hands, and has immense bone, with plenty of substance and quality all over. He is acknowledged to be the very best Arab that ever ran in ludia, a proof of that being that at one meeting in Calcutta 119 had no less than three walk-overs, the Indian Herald remarking, ‘No owner caring to start against the great Crusader at weight-for-age, the Doser. Elate, distance two miles, resulted in a walk-over. Crusader won the Debra Derby, Umbalia Derby, Desert Stakes, Asian Elate, Madras Derby, and many other race?. After racing in India for iiveyoars, at all distancts, under big weights, Crusader retired from the turf with an unbeaten record.” Baracen is a blood bay with black points, standing 13 hands 3 inches, with plenty of bone and substance.
