Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, last night, The House met at 7.36.

The Fisheries Encouragement Rill passed the final stages by 4S votes to S.

Sir J. Or. Ward moved the recommittal of the Fisheries Conservation Act Amendment Bill. He said that in consequence of representations that had been placed before him he would ask the committee to farther amend the fill by extending the open season for nout to the 30th April in each year, with a provision that the season couth ba shortened in any district on the application of tbo Acclimatisation Society. He would also o?k to have the annual fishing license fob amended as follows : Licenses lor men throughout New Zealand, FT ; women and boys attending sebooi and under 16, us ; fees for half-season, day licenses, and single river licenses, etc., to be fixed by the Gfovernor-in-Gouncil. The recommittal was agreed to. Sir J. G. Ward’s amendments were adopted, and the Rill passed tho final stage?.

The committal of tho Companies Rill, a large consolidating measure, was agreed to ou the voices.
