Won by three lengths, a similar distance between second and third. Time, 2.49 1-5. Div., £3 Is and £2 11s. Tararua Hack.—Stepson 1, Hydrant 2, Lass o’ Gowrie 8, All started. Won easily by 14 lengths. Time 1.30 85. Div £3 12s and 17s.

Poarco Haudicap.—Melwood 1, Battleaxe 2, Pallas 3. All started except Idea. Molwood came away at the turn eptoring the straight, and won easily by 14 lengths, a neck between second and third. Time, 1.55 2-5. Divs. £6 15s and AS 9s 6d.
