Mr Brodrick, speaking at Hull, said tho strength of the volunteers had materially increased under tho now regulations. Since ho had satisfied Lord Roberts and Lord Kitchenor he would bo able to disregard outside criticism. The War Commission’s roporc and inquiry reiated to the period when he was not responsible for the War Office.
