Tho Senato adopted a thousand mile capital in the Site Bill, which passed Committe, and tho third readiug was fixed for to-day. The Houso of iiepresontatives deals with the Senate’s ohoico on Tuesday, The general opinion is that the Housos will not como to any agreement, and tho Bill will bo dropped. , The Minister of Defence, who represents Bombala, received a wire from his electorate : “ Bombala jubilant. Wiring Tumut for a flag.”

The Herald says tho Seuuto’s soleotion of Bombala reduces the situation to an absurdity, as probably was intended from the first.
The Telegraph says the decision seems to extinguish all chance of a settlement this Parliament. Both papors complain of tho treatment of Now youth Wales. The Telegraph adds that New South Wales is the victim of a gigantic confidence trick. As Ssnator Milling put it, wo may look forward to having the question passed on to tho third Parliament, unless Now South Wales gives a solid vote against the Government, which treated it £0 badly.
