LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL,

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, last night. The Couucil mot at 2.30. The Indictable Offences Summary Jurisdiction Bill and Testators’ Family Maintenance Bili passed the final stages.

HOUSE QF REPRESENTATIVES.

The House met at 2.30. The Loan Bill for ono million was introduced by Governor’s message and read a first time. The House resumed at 7.30.

The Cook and other Islands Government Bill passed the final stages on the voices.

Tho Hutt Road Bill and Sand Drift Bill were read a third time and passed. The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Bill was considered in committee at great length. A good deal of opposition was shown to clause 4, which is designed to prevent combining to defeat an award of the Court, hjr Seddon said the clause had the concurrence of Mr Justice Cooper,
