(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. A farrier named Alexander Milligan, who waa under treatment in the hospital on the supposition that he had taken some poisonous mixture, attempted suicide while at dinner in the institution yesterday by cutting his throat and wrist with a table knife. The wounds are not serious, Milligan being stopped before he did much harm. He pleaded guilty at the Court-to-day, and was remanded. Mr Donne, Superintendent of Tourist Resorts, has purchased a carved Maori house and valuablo collection of Maori curios for erection and exhibition at Rotorua. It is hoped the Maoris will add to the collection, and make it of special interest to tourists and others.
