Thirty hours’ rain has fallen. At New York 9 9-10 inches were registered. Portions of the New York Central Line goods yards were submerged to a depth of 12 feet.
London, Oct. 10.
Heavy rain has fallen in tho north of Enqlntid. Thousands of acres are inundated.
Tho river Tyne is so high that traffic is suspended.
