JUVENILE FANCY DRESS BALL.

At tho Theatre Boyal last evening the annual juvenile fancy dress ball in connection with Mrs Grey’s dancing classes was held, and attracted a large gathering. A number of very pretty dresses were worn by the young people, and the scene whilst dancing was going on was a bright and animated one. Ttie ball opened at eight o’clock with the Grand March, to excellent music supplied by Miss Grey, Missß. Ford, and Messrs L. Sherriff and G. Carter. During the evening several very pretty fancy dances took place, including a flower dance by Misses M. Bees who was attired as a snowflake, V. Williams daffodil, W. Bayloy rose, and P. Allan poppy. A clever skirt dance was done by Miss Irene Chrisp, and Miss Ursula Williams danced a caehuca in a most artistic stylo. A gavotte was given by Misses Davies, Clare, Whitely, Symes, Gray, McLeod, Wiliiams, and Nolan, and Miss H. Harding and Master L. Bright delighted the audience with an Irish jig. A Swedish jig was danced by the whole class, and was a most attractive item. Miss Gray played the dance music for the childrcu’s dances, and Mrs Fernandez played from ten o’clock until midnight whilst the elder pupils had a couple of hours’ enjoyment.
