ARBITRATION COURT.
NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS. Per Press Association. Wellington, last night. At tho Arbitration Court the Cooks’ and Stewards’ Union took action against tho Union Company for the enforcement of an award, there being an alleged breach in regard to the payment for overtime. The Court reserved its decision.
The Society of Carpenters and Joiners took action against Thomas McCarthy, of Wellington, for alleged failure to comply with an award, hut as Mr McCarthy had not been informed of the manner in which he was supposed to have transgressed, an adjournment was granted. A complaint by the Tailoressos’ Union that Abraham Levy, manufacturer, had failed to pay the piece-work at the standard fixed by log, was partly heard.
