COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Dalgety and Co. received the following cable from London yesterday:— “ Since bur last telegram low and inferior descriptions of tallow are 3d higher, other sorts are 6d to 9d higher. N.B. and W. New Zealand mutton 29s 9d, 3 Crown Gear mutton, N.Z., 80s, Thistle mutton, N.Z., 29s 3d, A.M. and Co. Ramornie beef, Queensland, 28s 6d, Redbank beef 28s 6d, B. Quefensland 28s. Prices seem to have reached about their highest. Immediate prospects are good, but we have not much confidence for later on.”
