Per Press 'Association. Palmerston North, last night. Beplying to a wire from the Palmerston branch of the Farmers’ Union that every facility would be given to Mr Kirkbride’s Fire Insurance Bill this session, the Premier states that representations made on the subject will have every consideration, but whether anything can be done in the direction asked depends on the progress mado with the Government policy, especially measures affecting settlement on land, promotion of agriculture, and extension of important markets for products. Hiß sympathies are entirely in accord with Mr Kirkbride’s object.
