AMERICAN COMEDY COMPANY

“ MAMA’S NEW HUSBAND."

This modern farce comedy, with which the Stine and Evans American Comedy Company will inaugurate their season on Thursday night, has been a pronounced success in America for the last three seasons. Last year it was toured by no less than fourteen companies, and was said to make more money than any other touring attraction. The plot is a very simple one, and is grasped in the first ten minutes. It deals with an elderly widow marrying a young man, and hiding the fact that she has a daughter at school aged seventeen. This young lady,{on returning from school, meets a gentleman in the train who is most attentive to her. It is when she gets home and finds that the attentive gentleman is “ Mama’s New Husband” that the fun begins.
