SMALL-POX RATE.
By Telegraph— Press Association—Copyright Hobart, Aug. 21. The Treasurer delivered the Financial Statement last night. He estimates the revenue at £897,000, after remitting £BI,OOO of income tax on personal effort. Tho expenditure is set down at £864,000, less savings, chiefly in the shape of pruning the civil service of £20,000, expenses incurred for the small-pox outbreak, carried to suspense account. A rate will be imposed on all occupiers throughout the State to meet it.
