Tho first night of the Amateur Boxing Championship Meeting was held to-night, and was a great success. There was a large audionce. In the feathor-weights Crawford beat Loo; light-weights, Marks beat Olds, Draffin obtaining a bye ; mid-dle-weights, Hill beat Draffin, McGregor beat Gunn, Riddel beat Rockell, and MeAnnany had a bye. ■ The hockey match Canterbury against WaDganui resulted in a tie. i
