During a heavy northerly gale on Friday the schooner I-likurangi, coal laden, for Auckland, and the Norab, wtih ballast, dragged 'anchors in Wliangarei harbor, and were driven aground. They are expected to get oft at next spring tides. At present they are being lightened.

BOISTEROUS WEATHER. WELLINGTON, last night. A 1 strong southerly gale with rain 1 , continues. The Wellington- Wairarapa railway traffic has been interfered with, owing to an extensive Wash-out at Mungaroa. Only passenger trains will get through. Several steamers delayed by the gale are gradually putting in an appearance, although some smaller vessels are still cheltering.

NELSON NEWS. NELSON, last night. News has just been received from Collingwood eft at a -boy named Albert Wigzell was accidentally, shot above the left shoulder blade by. Clifford Irons, another hoy, with a pea rifle, while out shag-shooting. The wound is not serious, but the bullet has not yet been extracted. A waggon of timber, driven by William Taylor, for Robertson Bros, capsized oyer the saddle at Wangamoa to-day. No details are to hand yet.
