PRESENTATION BY SIR HARRY RAWSON. WARMLY COMPLIMENTED BY THE GOVERNOR,

A movement, initiated by New Zealanders resident in Sydney, to present the New Zealand Rugby Union with a banner as a mark of the success of the tour was consummated between tho acts at the the theatre to-night, when His Excellency the Governor, Sir Harry Rawson met the team on the stage, and presented the manager with a banner of black satin, with fern leaf and motto worked in Bilver. Sir Harry Rawson expressed the great pleasure ho felt at being present at the matches, and as an old footballer ho confessed that he had never before witnessed suoh magnificent combination on the part of any team. He trusted that the banner would bo carried to victory in Britain, if it was decided to visit there. i Mr Norris, managor of the New Zealandors, ithanked the Govornor for the honor done them and tho colony in making the presentation. At Sir Harry Rawson’s request, the members of the team were subsequently presented to him.
