A SCOW DAMAGED.
(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. At Whangarei the ketch Hikurangi dragged her anchors during a gale on Thursday night and collided with the scow Norah, doing considerable damage to the latter vessel, which had to be beached.
Some people have curious amusements. According to an authority, there are people living in the Waldorf-Astoria, New York, who pay £2O a day for a suite of rooms all the year round. This works out at £7300 a year. Small wonder that Mr George C. Bold, the proprietor of the hotel, is among the millionaires.
