Their exhibition .was.a revelation to the crowd. .The strength and dash of the combination and solidity, of their tactics stamped them as. the most brilliant pack yet represented 'by, visitors in this department on tour. .Their concerted work in passing from the; line, foot work, sureness and cleverness of toeing the ball, were executed like clockwork. The Auckland trio—Long, Nicholson and Tyler—were the most brilliant of the great pack. Spencer, too, was prominent, while Gallagher on the wing put in splendid work. Kiernan opened up the finest passing,ever seen on a Queensland ground. Wallace and Stead gave a grand display and Wood and Asher were brilliant at times. McGregor in fine solid defensive work, but in endeavoring to beat too many, opponents', robbed his side of three certain tries. The .way, the backs and forwards slung the ball about aroused enthusiasm on the part of the ‘spectators, who admit that Jnothing better was ever seen here.
