RUSSIA AND JAPAN.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, July 28. The Japanese Minister in Loudon, interviewed, stated that war with Russia was a very long way off. Any disagreement would doubtless be settled by arbitration. The Director of the Asiatic Section of the Russian Foreign Office, interviewed by an American news agency, used extremely provocative language regarding Great Britain aud Japau, accusing Britain of extreme duplicity. He declared that Russia would crush Japan to saud, and was not afraid to fight five Powers. Tokio, July 28. Leading Japaneso newspapers write calmly and confidently on the situation. They declare that Russia is increasing her military and naval forces in the Far East for the purpose of intimidation.
