DUNEDIN NEWS.
A SAD AFFAIR. £Per Press Association^ Dunedin, last night. The body of David Lee, an old resident of Port Chalmers, was found in tho harbor this afternoon. He was last Been on Saturday night, when ho returned from Dunedin by train. He was Been going in the direction of the George street pier, which is indifferently lighted, and with a double line of rails is somewhat dangerous at night. He is supposed to have tallen in.
SEVERE WEATHER. The thaw yesterday in Central Otago did practically little good, as there was a keen frost again in the evening.
RAILAGE OF FODDER. Sir J. G. Ward has given instructions for the free carriage by rail of fodder to affected districts, and where it is absolutely necessary for the conveyance of stock free to places where feed is available. The difficulty, however, is to get fodder from the railway to the sheep. To get sheep to the railway is impossible.
