IN pursuance of the joint Standing Orders relative to Local Bills, notice is hereby given that the Gisborne Harbor Board will, during the present ensuing session of Parliament, cause to be introduced a Bill, entitled, “ An Act to further amend ‘ The Gisborne Harbor Act, 1884,’ and ihe amendments thereof.” The objects of such Bill are as follows : (1.) To direct the Publio Trustee to invent all moneys the property of the Board in his hands as may from time to time be available, in the following securities : (a) Mortgages of real estate held in fee simple to three-fifths value, on an approved valuation by the Publio Trust Board. (b) Mortgages of leaseholds issued under “The Land Act, 1892,” to onehalf value on an approved valuation by the Public Trust Board. (c) In the purchase of Gisborne Harbor Board debentures. (d) In any Colonial or Government Securities; or, (e) On debentures issued by any local authority secured upon general or special rates. To lend to the Gisborne Borough Council, if so requested by the Council, £20,000, at not less than £4 per centum per annum, upon the security of—(a) The land acquired by the Couuoil at Waih’rere lor the purpose of waterworks. (b) A special rate of not exceeding two shillings and sixpenoe in the pound upon the annual valu< of all rateable property in tin Borough of Gisborne, together will the issue of debentures under thi provisions of “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901." To confirm and validate a deed arrangement, dated the 25th day July, 1903, made between M sieurs Wi Pere and Rawiri Kars of the first part, William Lee Re Esquire, of the second part, and 1 Gisborne Harbor Board of the th part, whereby certain lands adjac to the Western groyne are vested the Board, and Lowe street continued to the Beach ; t moneys coming from the Railv Department are payable to the Boa and the Native, owners receive £ therefor.
