THE CAPSIZED LIGHTER,

Three feet six inches of water was pumped out of the No. 4 hold of the Niwaru to-day, and the ‘vessel steamed out to the anchorage this afternoon. An examination to ascertain the extent of the damage will be made as soon as the weather moderates.

It is anticipated that the steamer will shortly be able to leave for Auckland, to go into dock. Tlw cargo of the lighter Queen (which capsized) is being washed ashore, and the vessel herself shows .signs of breaking up.
