Melbourne, July 22. In the House Sir E. Barton announced his intention at an early date to introduce a bill providing tariff preference on goods received from Papua. Brisbane, July 22. In the Assembly, during the debate on the Address-in-Beply, Mr Browne, Leader of the Opposition, moved a vote of want of confidence. The Premier, in a short reply, said that he considered Sovernment possessed the confidence of the people. The debate is proceeding.
