25 DEATHS IN THE ISLANDS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright Received 1.83 a.m., July 21. Noumea, July 20. An epidemio of plague has broken out at Eondy, near Pam, 280 miles from Noumea, amongst tho native population. Twenty-five deaths are reported. The Governor has taken stringent precautions to quarantino tho infected locality. The gunboat Meurthe left Noumea to-day with doctors and serum. None of the white population are affected.
