8y Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrigh Received 4.50 p.m., J uly 19. Rome, July 19. . Yesterday was the best day that His Holiness the Pope has passed sinoe the beginning of the critical stage. The rally may continue for some time. The patients fuuctions are regular, though somewhat restricted. He has partaken of meat essence.
A bulletin published last evening states that the patient passed a fairly quiet day. He slept at intervals. His condition is slightly depressed, but respiration is less superficial.
Later intelligence states that Dr Lapponi considers that the Pope is out of imminent danger. Dr Muzzoni, in an interview, statea that the Pope is entirely recovered, except for slight traces of irritation and pleuritic secretions, whioh are diminishing. The Pope allowed Dr Mazzoni to take a ’ ' dozen snap of him.
