The morning bulletin states tnat tho Pope slept better, that he is stronger, and that generally there is a marked improvement.

Tho Pope remarked to a cardinal: “ I have been in great danger, but feel that it has disappeared. Though doctors consider my recovery impossible, I think I may live for days, perhaps weeks..”

Received 10.17 p.m., July 13 Romo, July 13. Tho Pope’s pulse is slightly stronger. He is cheerful. The evening bulletin states that tho improvement is maintained.

King Edward’s autograph letter do.

lightod the Pope, also Mr Seddon’s telegram. The Vatican sends to the British ambassador daily messages for transmission to King Edward. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The Premier has forwarded to Archbishop Redwood a letter of coudoleneo and sympathy with the Roman Catholio Church in the illness of the Pope. Mr Seddon states that the sympathy of the colony has been officially extended to Hia Holiness.
