THEATRE ROYAL
THE KING OF LAUGHTER.
Tho box plan for the sale of tickets for Yal Vousden’s entertainment will open today at Miller’s, and judging from the interest already shown in anticipation of an enjoyable evening’s amusement, we have no hesitation in predicting for Mr Vousden bumper houses on Monday and Tuesday next. Mr Youßden, for the first time in New Zealand, will introduce Edison’s wonderful ventriloquial talking dolls and he will make them discuss local politics, etc. This marvellous act alone is said to be worth the price of admission, At the conclusion of the entertainment Mr Vousden promises to permit those of the audience wishing to inspect this wonderful invention an opportunity of doing so. In addition to scores of items, both in mimicry and ventriloquism, Mr Vousden will give his celebrated imitation of a galloping horse, said to be the most wonderful imitation given on any stage. In his original creation of Mrs O’Rourke he will make the old lady tell all about King Dick of New Zealand and his doings at the Coronation. The performance will commence at 8 o’clock and end at five minutes to 10.
