ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

A fatal accident occurred at about one o’clock this morning. A young man named Alexander llussell, a driver employed by the New Zealand Express Co., while engaged in trucking scenery for the Majeroni Company at the railway siding, was crushed so badly between two trucks that he died almost immediately. Dunedin, last night.

George Guyton, aged 16, was run over near Pelichet Bay railway station, a carriage passing over his right leg. It is supposed that in rising from a seat on the platform of the cairiage his front feet skidded. He was removed to the hospital for treatment.
