Mr James Buttle has been appointed by the directors of the New Zealand Insurance Company to the position of general manager, rendered vacant by the retirement of Sir David Craig. Mr Buttle was for many years manager of the Melbourne branch of the company, and more recently has filled the position of acting general manager.
