Per Press Association NAPIER, last night. Henry, Ward and Henry, Lee, young men, were charged at the Court today, with robbing an elderly, man named Saunders of twenty-six pounds. It was alleged that accused stole the money while Saunders was under the influence of drink in the Occidental Hotel. A remand till to-mor-row; was granted. Is the Mag strata’s Court this morning a farmer was fined £5 and costs £5 lor failing to clear his land of blackberry, as stipulated in the Noxious Weeds Aet, and with failing to comply with the order of the inspector. The fine was subsequently reduced to one shilling, the magistrate (Mr Kettle) remarking the country would be better pleased if the defendant spent the £5 in clearing his land. Four inspectors under the Noxious Weeds Aet have been engaged on this coast, and during the past season hundreds of acres have'been cleared.

WELLINGTON, last night, .The tender of A. and G, Price, of the Thames, at £28,000, has been accepted for the construction of ten locomotives for the New Zealand railways.
