DAYLIGHT BOBBERS.
TWELVE YEARS’ IMPRISONMENT Per Press Association^ Dunedin, laßt night. The trial of Thomas Ramsay and John Cairns for assaulting Thomas Reid and robbing him of £291 which he was taking in tho afternoon to pay employees in Sar good, Son, and Ewun’s boot factory, was concluded to-day. The jury after threequarters of au hour retirement returned a verdict of guilty. Each prisoner protested his iunocenco. They were sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment oach.
Ramsay said ho wished to appeal against the soutence. His Honor said he should take such Bteps as he was advised.
