HAYGARTH’S COMEDY COMPANY
" OUR BOYS.”
There was a large attendance at the I Theatre Royal last evening when the Haygarth Company produced the comedy “Our Boys.” In the leading part of Perkyn Middleweek, the butterman, Mr E. D, Haygarth achieved fresh laurels, his impersonation of this amusing oharacter being particularly good. Mr G. Kensington made an excellent Sir Geoffrey Champneys, and Mr J. Lyndon played well as I Talbot Champneys. Mr Walter Stent was well suited as Charles Middlewick. Miss F. Kehoe Dempsey made the most of the part of Clarissa Champneys, acting with consistency throughout. Miss RubyAmesbury gave a faithful representation of the character of Mary Melrose, and Misses Ella Lang and P. Haygarth were most successful as Violet Melrose and Belinda, the latter giving an excellent pourtrayal of the servant of the lodging house where “the boys” were quartered- Mr J. H. Gittos's orchestra provided the music, which added considerably to the success of the comedy. “ CASTE.”
This evening 11 Caste ” will be staged’ and judging by the successful manner that it has been received elsewhere, should attract a large audience.
