There were good entries at Addington market to-day. Fat cattle : 271 head came forward, mainly fair quality of steers and hc-ilers. The sale opened weak, hut subsequently became brisk, and the prices realised were slightly in advance of those oi last week, Steers brought £6 5s to £lO 15s ; heifers, £6 15s to £lO 15s ; cows, £6

17s Gd to £lO ; beef, 27s to 90s per 1001 b. Eat sheep : There was a larger yarding than usual, and they met with keen demand for ail prime quality. Butchers competed eagerly for best ewes, and going beyond the limits of freezing buyers secured the bulk. Wethers were very firm, and sold at from 6d to 9d per head above last week’s rates. Freezing wethers brought lbs to 265, extra to 325, lighter 10s to 17s 6d ; freezing merinos 17s bd to lbs, lighter 14s 3d; freezing ewes, young 10s 5a to 17s 9d, aged 11s 9d to 15s; butchers’ ewes, extra prime 17s to 19s 9d, others lls 3d to 14s ; wethers and maiden ewes, 17s to 20s 6d.

Fat lambs : About 2400 were yarded, comprising several large lines of prime quality. Butchers were apparently well supplied, and scarcely touched tue market, but export buyers bid freely in an irregular market. Prices as a whole barely touched last week's rate 3. Tegs brought "173 A! to 17s lid, prime freezers 14s 6d to 16s TOd, lighter weights 123 to 14s, butchers lls to 12s Od.

Pigs : There was a good entry, and a fairly keen demand. Heavy baconera brought 483 6d to 653, lighter 38s to 455, equal to 44d per lb ; porkers 25s to 40s, equal to 5d per lb ; stores 22s to 255, slips lUs to 12s 6d.
