It is rumored in the lobbies that if he persists the Bill will likely be dropped, inasmuch as it was offered on tho understanding that it would be accepted as a generous attempt to settle the difficulty. Eighty Liberals voted with the minority. The Times says that the result is a foregone conclusion.
