WAR CONTRIBUTION. By Telegraph —Press Association -Copyright London, June 15. An ordinance, providing for a loan contribution of five millions to be derived from tho future mineral resources of the country, has been road a second time in tho Legislative Cuuncil ut Bloemfontein. Tho special Commissioners of tho Transvaal Chamber of Mines are favorably impressed with the quality of Chinese labor in tho gold and tin mines of the Straits Settlements. Tho Dutch predikunts or pastors, have readmitted the members of the National Scouts, who assisted tho British during tho war, to tho Communion of the Dutch Church.
