A poll was taken to-day on the question of authorising the Tramway Board to raise a loau of £250,000 to construct and equip electric tramwayß in each of the five subdistricts into which the district has been divided. Tbe proposal to authorise the loan was carried by an overwhelming majority. The total votes recorded in favor were 2856, against 388.
