A MISSING BARQUE

A steamer has been despatched to search for the barque Abhey Palmer, which was sighted off Newcastle during the late gales, and has since been missing.
PERTH, June 11
The barque Ellen has arrived from Zanzibar, in charge of the second officer.
During the voyage the captain and two men died of dysentery. The chief officer and a sailor t arc now in a serious condition. For the last, three xveeks the second officer navigated the ship, assisted by four men only. The weather was stormy, the foodsupply short, and the water bad. In the doctor’s opinion the latter caused (lie outbreak. Prior to the reception of the news of the arrival of the ship Tropic at Melbourne, she was insured at seventy guineas per cent.
